Another fantastic project wrapped up today by the team at LD Cook Home Improvements! 🔨

We’ve been busy putting the finishing touches on our Wymondham renovation, working through the final snagging list and, most importantly, making sure our customers are happy with the results.

We’re really pleased with how this one has turned out! 👏

🔥 A cosy new fireplace – Creating the perfect feature for those chilly evenings, giving the living room a warm and welcoming feel.

🌡️ Stylish new radiators – Adding a fresh, modern touch while keeping the home lovely and warm.

🏠 New flooring and freshly plastered walls – The back room has had a brilliant transformation. Once the customers have added their chosen paint colours, it’ll really bring the whole space together!

🧱 Fresh external rendering – The front of the property has been given a completely new lease of life, improving its kerb appeal and creating a smart, modern finish.

It’s amazing how much difference these improvements can make, both inside and out.

There’s nothing better than seeing a project come together and knowing our customers can now enjoy their newly improved home. 💪

Thinking about giving your home a fresh new look? Whether it’s a full renovation, plastering, rendering or those finishing touches that make all the difference, we’d love to help bring your ideas to life.

🪵 Floor sanding preparations underway! We’ve been busy prepping the floors and sheeting everything up to keep the rest of the property protected.

With winter just around the corner and temperatures starting to drop, now is a good time to ask one simple question:
Is your home costing you more to heat than it should? 🏡❄️
Poor insulation, draughty windows and doors, tired flooring, gaps around the home and older materials can all make it harder to keep the warmth in — and that can mean higher energy bills.
At LD Cook Home Improvements, we can help identify areas that may be letting heat escape and carry out the improvements needed to make your home warmer, more comfortable and more efficient.
Whether it’s better insulation, replacement windows, flooring upgrades, repairs or a wider home renovation, we’ll help you get your property ready for the colder months.
Don’t spend the whole winter paying to heat the outside.
Get in touch with LD Cook Home Improvements to discuss how we can help make your home more winter-ready.

Another busy week coming to an end, and things are really taking shape at our latest project in Wymondham!

A big shout-out to Dean at D.E PRICE for doing a cracking job with the plastering. Everything is looking spot on and is now ready for the customer to put their finishing touches on the decorating.

We’ve also had these stunning traditional-style column radiators fitted by RKJ plumbing and heating, and what a difference they make! They really add some character to the rooms while keeping that lovely classic look.

A massive thanks to both trades for their fantastic workmanship. Great to have reliable local trades working alongside us!

We’re now on the home straight, with just a few final jobs to tick off before we hopefully get everything wrapped up next week.

It’s all coming together nicely, and we’re looking forward to showing you the finished result!

Another repeat customer inviting us back for their next home improvement project! 🏡🔨

This time, the existing timber sleepers had deteriorated and were ready for replacement.

We carefully broke up and removed the old sleepers, taking extra care not to damage any of the surrounding plants. We then installed new pressure-treated timber sleepers to match the existing ones and finished the area with aggregate stone for a clean, tidy finish.

A straightforward upgrade that’s made a big difference to the space — replacing the tired timber while keeping everything in keeping with the rest of the garden. 🌿

It’s always great to be invited back by a previous customer. Thank you for choosing LD Cook Home Improvements again — we really appreciate the continued support.

Got some tired timber that needs replacing, or another home or garden improvement job on the list? Get in touch and let’s have a chat.

🏠 Wymondham Renovation – Taking Shape

Another good bit of progress on our renovation project in Wymondham.

The new engineered wood flooring is going down and it’s already making a huge difference to the room. There’s still a bit to finish, including the skirting and final details, but it’s great to see the space starting to come together.

We’ll share more from this project as the renovation progresses.

🏡 Good progress on our Wymondham renovation project!

This one is really starting to come together now, with plenty of progress happening both inside and out.

The exterior has had a fresh new finish, internal works are moving along nicely, and the fireplace is beginning to take shape with the flue now fitted. 🔥 A new timber mantel is also in place, giving us a good idea of how the finished feature will look.

Floor preparation is underway too, ready for the next stage of the renovation.

Still plenty more to do, but it’s great seeing all the different elements of this project coming together.

Another good week of progress on this renovation, and things are really starting to come together. 🏠🔨

The fireplace is moving along nicely, with Alacosa installing the flue today. They’ll be back next week to fit the hearth and get another big part of the room finished off. 🔥

We’ve also installed self-levelling compound to get the floor super flat and ready for the new engineered wood flooring, which will be fitted next week. That’s going to make a huge difference to the room once it’s down. 👌

Outside, the fresh render has made a big difference too, giving the property a much cleaner, smarter finish.

Next week is looking busy, with the plasterer coming in, the plumber installing three new radiators, and the new flooring going down.

Plenty happening, and it’s great to see the transformation taking shape week by week. 🙌
