I keep getting asked about who has firewood…

This guy is local - and if it’s been processed early, with the weather this summer… I’d expect it to be ready to burn.

Any loads 2cbm and under should be a maximum of 20% moisture content.

Thats 2 cbm loose - so about 1.4cbm stacked I believe

Now is the time to get wood in ! You don’t want to be stacking in pouring rain…..

I’m not long returned from a super *work* trip to Italy to the KLOVER wood stove and wood pellet stove factory. The make biomass utility boilers too !

Most inspiring … and learnt a lot.

These are super clean burning with many over 90% efficient. So clean, there just is no smoke.

You may like to see some of the highlights of this trip, that I’ve put together in a YouTube video.

I now have a few different working KLOVER wood pellet stoves live on display, and also a have an Ecompact 290s pellet utility boiler in stock as well as a an Ecowood 300 wood fired boiler unit that can do up to 34.9kw output !!!

KLOVER make stoves that provide dry heat to the room, but also boiler stoves that heat water and radiators. Not the “old” type - these are super clean, super efficient and just a whole different league. Far cleaner / greener, far cheaper to run by a long way than oil !

I’ve run a dry (heat to room only)pellet stove in the office the whole of last winter and have hands down proof of how easy and low cost this has been to run.

Given I’m now convinced and believe in the products and capabilities, I’m ready to roll them out in store.

Just back from a lovely visit to Klover - Fuoco e Passione in Italy to see round the factory and learn more about their manufacturing facilities and wood pellet and log fired room heating stoves, boiler stoves and wood / pellet fired utility boilers.

Klover are one of the industry leading brands of this type of greener energy type of heating systems that have now almost totally taken over old type boiler stoves as we know it.

Offering features such as self ignition, thermostatic controls, the ability to air duct / vent heat into other rooms, remote control and wifi as standard they are a different league from those we've probably known. Good, high performance pellet burning appliances are a game changer from the old type stoves use for heating wet systems (such as hot water and raditators). These are super clean, heat up fast, no smoke to be seen. WAY lower running costs and super efficent.

This is an oldie but a goodie. It's just come up on my memories, and it's great, but it is also that time of year. You do need to try and book in early to get your chimney swept. Every year gets busier, and there are longer waits. People leave it until the last minute or start to try and use their unit, their stove, and find out that the chimney is blocked With nests or it's not functioning properly because they haven't done the maintenance.

parts may need replacing, such as:
- flue liners
- baffles
- glass
- doors seals checked and changed If needed

give your sweep a call now, before the mad rush when everybody wants it done yesterday!

Plenty of good sweeps around in the area. And plenty of customers end up whinging when they've got to wait a fortnight instead of being able to get them within a day or two!

Had a fabulous weekend looking at lots and lots and lots of new stoves and fires at the industry trade show in Doncaster

We haven't had a trade show like this in the UK for about eight years and it was so nice to meet up with a lot of contacts and friends I haven't seen in a long time.
