New customer calls for full inspection MOT of wood burner and liner.
Sadly on taking down baffle plate its immediatley clear the liner is wrecked and corroded , will need replacing for appliance to be used .

This is an example of why burning seasoned fuel is so vital and also having a yearly sweep will at least clean the liner of tar if poor fuel has been accidentally used .

Stay safe all .

Showing last 6 inches of clean on this wood burning stove where the bird guard cowl pot at top of chimney was solid with Tar and entire liner from top to bottom was cover in a heavy layer .
Video also highlighting how poor the fuel was .
Poor fuel causes creosote which will corrode liners and also increases the likely hood of a chimney fire.
Keep homes safe warm and cosy 🔥
Can recommend
Tom Bird his fuel is always immaculate quality !

Stay safe all .

New home owner sweep.
Swept liner off wood burner .
Vermiculite was leaking low down at 1 and a half meters which should never happen if liner is solid so after sweep , advised I do a cctv inspection to see whats going on .
As suspected a crack in liner 1 and a half meters up .
Continued cctv inspection to top of chimney pot and found the liner was short and had never been connected at top by installer .

Call 07789 718188 stay safe all .
