Today, our Health & Safety Manager, Jon Wigman, visited Wentworth House, a project with Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust as part of his bi-weekly site visits.

With the project now nearing completion and trades having left site, this final visit provides a valuable opportunity to thoroughly review the works, ensuring both quality and health & safety standards have been achieved and maintained throughout, while liaising with the project team.

It’s great to see the project in its closing stages and a testament to the team’s efforts throughout.

🛠️ Gym Refurbishment

In just 9 days, the Small Works team have refurbished Standish Leisure Centre's Gym and have redecorated the corridors and reception space.

Works included new flooring, decoration, installation of artificial grass with sporting details on and installation of mirrors and paneling. Decoration works were also carried out across the stairway, corridor and reception area. The Electrical team installed power around the perimeter of the Gym.

Well done to all involved, on site and behind the scenes!

Greenmount Projects are incredibly proud to sponsor William’s Rome tour and support him on his sporting journey.

We first met William and his mum, Heather Coombes, earlier this year and were immediately inspired by his dedication, positivity, and drive. William has cerebral palsy after suffering a stroke at just 20 months old, similar to the type of stroke experienced by adults. He was later diagnosed with left-sided hemiplegia.

William has always had a love for sport, and over the years he has competed in various sports, most recently padel. William is now embarking on an exciting international journey in padel and will soon represent Great Britain on the Inclusive World Padel Tour in Rome, before continuing on to London and Milan. He will be the youngest player representing Great Britain.

We worked alongside Optimum Sport to create a bespoke personalised kit for the trip, who offered to supply the kit FOC in support of Will. With Optimum sport also having some exciting news to share!

Big news from our latest Feel Good Friday! 🎉

At our monthly staff awards lunch, we were proud to add our incredible Head of Finance into the Senior Leadership Team.

As of today, Elisa steps into her new role as Finance Director!

Our CEO Mike Sharkey said "Elisa has been on this journey since the beginning over 8 years ago and has been amazingly loyal and faithful, helping navigate the growth and financial management of the business and her team. With what was a new business, she carved out the financial management processes and grew as a person and a friend. I am so happy to promote Elisa, and always great to promote with within... and reward excellence!"

🛠️ Repair SSG Curtain Walling System

For this project, the work involved the careful removal of several damaged glazing units from the SSG curtain walling system, replacing them with specialised laminated glazing units with a dichroic coating zone to imitate the original glass specification.

The operation which involved utilising a mobile crane for lifting the glazing and MEWP access to support installation, was carefully planned and completed over a single day at the weekend.

A final visit will be completed once the structural mastic fully cures, allowing removal of the temporary stitch plater.
