Another quality roofing project completed in Manchester. 👌

This job involved a full strip and re-slate, giving the roof a new lease of life while preserving its original character. We installed a new breathable membrane and treated timber battens throughout, then carefully re-used the existing natural slates, sourcing reclaimed slates where needed to ensure everything matched seamlessly.

It’s always satisfying to restore a roof the right way rather than replacing materials unnecessarily.

This week’s project involved a full strip-out of two failed fibreglass valleys that had been installed incorrectly and were causing significant leaks.

We removed the defective valleys front and rear, installed a brand-new GRP dry fix valley system, and fully re-tiled both roof slopes to leave the roof watertight and built to last.

It’s a reminder that the cheapest installation isn’t always the best. Poor workmanship can end up costing far more when it has to be replaced.
