Rutlands lets see what you got 💪

Heard good things about your tools and at a bargain price of £100 I thought id start on a new journey to switch from festool to rutlands.

Brushless cordless 20v random orbital sander comes in at £100 which includes a 20v battery, battery charger, the unit itself and 5 sanding sheets. I purchased some sanding pads and sanding sheets separately 🙌

Can't wait to give it try. First impressions are excellent 💪

A few snippets of some of the exterior restoration and decorating work I've been carrying out recently.

These areas aren't quite finished yet, but they're already looking so much better. All rotten timber has been removed and replaced where needed, with resin repairs completed to restore and strengthen the woodwork. Everything has then been primed and finished with two coats of Sadolin Superdec for a durable, long-lasting finish.

There are still a few areas to straighten up, along with a final coat in places, but the transformation is really starting to show.

Next on the list are the walls, along with plenty more windows and exterior woodwork. I'm hoping to have this project wrapped up within the next couple of weeks before moving on to my next exterior project in London.

🔨 A little teaser of what I've been working on – much more to come!

This pillar repair was a particularly awkward one due to the shape and location, but it's come up so much better than before. Not perfect, but a huge improvement and built to last.

The repair involved:
✅ Replacing damaged sections with new timber to rebuild the profile and create a solid surface.
✅ Using resin filler to secure and strengthen the new areas while allowing for flexibility.
✅ Applying several coats of high-build masonry filler with fibres for added durability.
✅ Finishing with a primer and 3 top coats of Sadolin Superdec for a long-lasting, weather-resistant finish.

I'm fully booked for exterior work this year, but I'm now taking enquiries and bookings for May 2027 onwards.

Hand-painted kitchen transformation in Challock, Ashford 🎨

This project was part of a full redecoration of the kitchen/living area, and here are some shots of the beautifully hand-painted units.

Using the correct methods and high-quality paints, you can achieve a really lovely, durable finish. While nothing quite beats a spray finish, when that’s not an option, a hand-painted approach can still deliver stunning results.
