💙 AWARDS SPOTLIGHT | IN MEMORY OF STUART LONG

Pool Technician of the Year – UK Pool & Spa Awards 2026

This nomination means a little more to us than most.

Stuart joined the XL Pools family in 2019 and quickly became one of our most valued colleagues, trusted engineers and, above all, a wonderful friend.

In January 2026, Stuart was diagnosed with cancer, and heartbreakingly, we lost him in June.

Stuart was an exceptional pool technician. His knowledge, dedication and determination to do things properly were second to none. But what made him truly special was the person behind the engineer.

He was kind, patient, always willing to help and cared about the people around him. The messages we received from customers following his passing were a testament to just how many lives he touched.

Stuart wasn’t just a brilliant engineer. He was a brilliant person, and we miss him dearly.

We have nominated Stuart for Pool Technician of the Year not simply because he was outstanding at his job, but because we believe people like Stuart deserve to be remembered and celebrated.

If you could spare a moment to vote for Stuart, it would mean an enormous amount to all of us at XL Pools.

This one’s for you, Stu. 💙

🏆 AWARDS SPOTLIGHT | WILLOW FARM PROJECT

Sunken or Semi-Sunken Hot Tub Project of the Year – UK Pool & Spa Awards 2026

Two luxurious experiences, beautifully combined! ✨

Featuring the Aqua Technics Nova eight-seat spa, this stunning installation sits alongside an Aqua Technics Royale swimming pool, creating a seamless poolside retreat.

The spa’s elegant overspill design allows water to cascade directly into the pool, while carefully detailed granite copings and cladding bring the two spaces together beautifully.

But there’s more than meets the eye! At the press of a button, the spa can operate independently and heat to 40°C, transforming into a dedicated space for hydrotherapy and relaxation. 💦

As our first-ever Aqua Technics spillway spa installation, this was a particularly special project for the XL Pools team!
