Here's a first look at the visuals for our Yorkshire project.

Crisp stone forms meet cascading greenery from the green roof, giving the extension a softer, more playful edge as it settles into its surroundings.
Inside, a calm palette of walnut, marble and stone flows down into a sunken conversation pit.

We’re pleased to be moving a new project towards planning; a single-storey extension and reconfiguration to a listed Arts and Crafts home in Yorkshire.

The design responds to the west-facing garden, with geometric forms that wrap around the house and follow the sun path, creating spaces shaped by light throughout the day.

Reclaimed Yorkshire stone grounds the extension in its context, offering a subtle contrast to the historic fabric.

Inside, a mid-century inspired conversation pit forms a social heart, while north lights bring soft, diffused daylight into the central kitchen.

This one’s close to our heart…

A special site visit in Sheffield today, stepping into a hidden recording studio with real character. It’s also been a creative hub for many musicians, which makes this opportunity even more meaningful.

Walking it with the client, structural engineer and building surveyor, we’ve started to unpack the building with its constraints, strengths and the opportunities ahead.

Excited to see where it goes. 🎧🏗️

Thanks to MCS Group for a warm welcome on site today. We visited Gloucester for our Principal Designer CDM role on a new industrial park by Graftongate.
The trip was finished off with a stop at Gloucester Services Farm Shop… still unbeaten.

We’re pleased to share that Studio JAMB has been instructed to undertake the CDM role for a new access road in Gloucestershire, forming part of a wider industrial development. We look forward to working collaboratively with the wider project team as the scheme progresses.

A good and proper muddy site visit today!

Great to be out this morning at Ilam Park in the White Peak with Liz Bown. We all got our boots muddy on a fun little project in a beautiful setting. Rain, mud and even snow. Just how site visits should be!

We’ve recently received planning approval for a private yoga studio in Hatfield, located within the grounds of a listed building.
The scheme reworks an existing outbuilding with a sympathetic extension, using contrasting materials including black rainscreen cladding and bi-folding doors to differentiate new from old, while respecting the historic setting.

We’re pleased to share the planning approval for the restoration of a ruinous 18th-century stone barn in a Green Belt heritage setting in North East Derbyshire.
We’re also delighted that a recent NMA has now been approved, allowing a small number of additional openings to the existing historic stone façade, carefully designed to respect the building’s character.
The scheme will deliver a tasteful restoration and sensitive reconfiguration of this characterful building into high-quality holiday lets, securing its long-term future through considered design.

With Alex bringing a creative, architectural eye and Miles grounding projects through design and technical management, we balance ideas with delivery working across domestic, residential, commercial and conservation work.
