For the Barna Square development in Rathcoole, Newtownabbey, Max Frank Egcobox® thermal break connectors were used to help the project team overcome complex slab edge and balcony connection requirements.

Designing contemporary office environments requires more than just clean aesthetics — acoustic performance and service integration are now a key part of the architectural brief.

At 25 North Wall Quay, Dublin, SDG supplied the Vogl Toptec® acoustic plaster ceiling system to help deliver a seamless monolithic ceiling finish within the redevelopment of A&L Goodbody’s new headquarters.

The floating acoustic ceiling rafts were designed to integrate recessed lighting, ventilation and exposed ceiling services while maintaining a refined architectural appearance throughout the workspace.

The result is a contemporary office environment combining:

• Seamless monolithic ceiling finishes
• Class A acoustic performance
• Integrated lighting and ventilation

Project Spotlight | Cornamona Court, Dublin

One of Dublin’s largest social housing developments delivered since the 2008 property crash, featuring family homes, duplexes, and senior living apartments designed by Paul Keogh Architects for Dublin City Council.

For this 2020 project, SDG supplied bespoke Egcobox A1 non-combustible thermal concrete connections to eliminate thermal bridging between the cantilevered concrete balconies and main structure.

Working closely with Contracts and our partner MAX FRANK, SDG provided design calculations, layout drawings, technical support, and on-time delivery to site.

The A1 fire-compliant thermal break system helped improve thermal performance, reduce condensation risk, and maintain fire safety standards across the development.

What a weekend from 👏

From a 340km coast-to-coast cycle to three half marathons across Ireland… our team went all in to support UNICEF Ireland and the incredible work they do for children around the world.

🏃‍♂️ Ciaran, John, and Anthony all crossed their half-marathon finish lines

A serious effort from everyone involved — and all for a cause that genuinely changes lives.

We’re proud to be Champions for Children in 2026, and this weekend was just the starting point. There’s plenty more to come as SDG continues fundraising throughout the year to support UNICEF Ireland.
