Career Opportunity – Trainee Building Surveyor

McGowan Miller is seeking a motivated Trainee Building Surveyor to join our team at our Dumfries office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a school leaver to begin a rewarding career in Building Surveying while earning a fully funded degree and gaining invaluable practical experience.

As part of the role, you will:
• Work alongside experienced Building Surveyors on a wide range of projects across the public and private sectors.
• Attend Glasgow Caledonian University one day per week for 4–5 years to complete a degree, fully funded by McGowan Miller.
• Progress towards achieving MRICS status through the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), with ongoing support throughout your professional development.

Preferred requirements:
• Relevant Highers
• Full UK driving licence
