Six years ago, I took the leap and went solo.

I did it for my son. I wanted to build something of my own, do work I could be proud of, and have more say over the time I spent with my family.

There have been some brilliant projects and some tough lessons along the way. Through it all, the reason I started has stayed the same.

Thank you to everyone who has trusted me to make something for their home or supported Carpentry-Rich over the past six years. And to Rocco: you were my reason then, and you still are & always will be ❤️

Growing up, Bobby Davro was one of my comedy idols. I still remember sitting on my dad’s lap, trying chow mein for the first time and having a proper laugh with my old man while Bobby was on the telly. It’s one of those little memories that has stayed with me.

So getting to see Bobby perform last night The Attic Southampton and meet him after the show meant a lot.
He was every bit as funny and warm as I’d hoped. For a moment, it brought back all those evenings watching him with my Dad. ❤️

I love making these as they have a special meaning behind the board the idea came to me while in Canada 🇨🇦 on my own honeymoon, these are huge over there in smoke houses and sharing platter lunches & gatherings, once back in the uk 🇬🇧 I then had an idea to add a handle to the boards and create some wild ones for anyone that wants something extra special that you cannot buy.

each board is hand made to suit your requirements and style, lasered or engraved with resin or left plain,

A MaHOOSIVE THANK YOU goes to the ever so talented Carpentry-Rich & the lovely Fiona Oslek Coatings for producing these beautiful Oak charcuterie boards for us, just in time for my OWN wedding this coming weekend! Beautifully butterfly-cut from the same peice of 200 year old oak, paired with bespoke personalised laser engraving, they’re literally the BEST thing since sliced bread! Our wedding party are going to absolutely LOVE them 😍

BUILT FROM THE GROUND UP

This one has been a proper transformation.

We started by taking down an old garden shed and, quite literally, built Sakura SKN from the ground up — creating a complete, purpose-built skin & laser clinic for Emma Machin

From the initial groundwork and structure right through to the finished space, this has been a real joint project between Carpentry Rich and Harry Phillips Electrical.

Knowing the story behind Sakura and what this new chapter means to Emma made it even more special to be a part of.

A lot of hard work has gone into this special building, and seeing it finished, lit up and ready for business makes it all worthwhile.

Fully kitted out with the newest state of the art skin treatment machines from Zemits & Tropic skin care

We built a fully insulated bespoke garden building and the bespoke joinery, all on touch sensors with dimmable lighting by Häfele UK Ltd. Loox system
Floating oak shelving & Mirostone workstation hand painted with Haftprimer & Benjamin Moore UK Aura

Including a Hot & cold tap sink system

Fully double glazed windows & door

Externally clear coated with Polyvine exterior Matt.

This hallway stairs & landing got a full makeover!

Full paint out on stairs balustrades, handrails & strings

Added detail astragal moulding for a panelled look, coloured with ‘wise old sage’.

Scrubbed & refreshed existing skirting with ‘dazzle me’ .

The front door even got some magic treatment & added a bee knocker 🐝
