Not all window condensation means the same thing.
As the mornings get cooler, you may start noticing moisture appearing on your glass — but where it appears matters.
💧 On the inside of the glass
Usually caused by warm, moisture filled air inside the home meeting a colder glass surface. Cooking, showers, drying clothes indoors and poor ventilation can all contribute.
💧 On the outside of the glass
This can actually be a sign that your glazing is doing its job. Modern energy efficient glass keeps more heat inside, leaving the outer pane cooler, so condensation can sometimes form outside on cold, still mornings.
💧 Between the panes
This is different. Moisture or misting trapped inside a sealed double glazed unit can indicate that the seal has failed and the glass unit may need replacing.
A little condensation doesn’t automatically mean you need new windows.
