🏆 WE’VE ONLY GONE AND DONE IT AGAIN! 🏆

I’m absolutely delighted to announce that Cottrell’s Exterior Services Ltd has been voted a Nextdoor Neighbourhood Fave Award Winner for 2026! 🎉

Having previously won in 2023, it’s fantastic to receive this recognition for a second time.

What makes this award particularly special is that it’s voted for by local residents — the very people and communities we’re proud to work for.

A massive thank you to everyone who voted, recommended us, left a review or supported the business over the years. It really does mean a lot.

As a small local business, knowing that customers appreciate and trust the work we do is incredibly rewarding.

Here’s to continuing to look after homes across Andover and the surrounding areas! 🏡

Thank you again!

🧼 Another block paved driveway brought back to life!

This one had become heavily affected by w**ds, moss, black spot and lichen, particularly around the edges and between the blocks.

The full treatment included:

✅ Thorough pressure clean
✅ W**d & moss removal
✅ Chemical treatment to tackle stubborn black spot & lichen
✅ Joints fully re-sanded
✅ Finished with hard-setting jointing sand to help keep the joints stable and reduce future w**d growth

The difference is huge — the original colours in the blocks have come back beautifully and the whole driveway looks so much cleaner and brighter. 👌

If your driveway or patio is looking tired and could do with a proper clean and refresh, feel free to get in touch for a free quote.

✨ Another exterior clean completed in Andover!

What a difference a professional clean can make 👌

This pathway and set of steps had built up years of dirt, grime and organic growth, leaving the paving looking tired and discoloured.

A thorough pressure clean has brought the original colour back through and completely freshened up the entrance to the property. The before & after photos speak for themselves! 👇

🍂 Gutter clearance AND repairs – all sorted in one visit 👍

With autumn now here, gutter work is getting increasingly busy!

As well as clearing gutters of the usual build-up of moss, leaves and debris, I also carry out gutter repairs — so if you’ve noticed a leaking joint, loose section, overflowing gutter or a problem with a downpipe, I can take a look at that at the same time.

Recent jobs have included everything from straightforward gutter clearances through to replacing leaking unions, reconnecting downpipes and correcting sections of guttering that have come apart.

🍂 AUTUMN OFFER: I’m also currently supplying and fitting downpipe guards FREE of charge with gutter clearances, where suitable.

Already have guards fitted from last year? I’ll remove, clean and refit/service them at no extra cost as part of your gutter clearance.

If your gutters need some attention before the wetter weather really sets in, feel free to get in touch.

🎉 6 YEARS TODAY!

Six years ago today, I made a pretty big decision.

After spending over 15 years working in the central heating and plumbing industry, I decided it was time for a complete career change and started Cottrell’s Exterior Services.

The first photo takes me right back to the beginning — my little van, a set of ladders and the start of something completely new.

Fast forward six years to the second photo and quite a lot has changed! 😂 The van got bigger, the equipment definitely multiplied and the range of services I offer has grown considerably.

What started as a career change has turned into a business that I’m incredibly proud of.

To everyone who has booked me over the last six years, continued to use me year after year, recommended me to friends and neighbours, left a review, shared a post or supported the business in any way — thank you.

As a small local business, that support genuinely means a huge amount and has helped me get from that first little van to where Cottrell’s Exterior Services is today.

Here’s to year 7! 🥂

🍂 Gutter clearance & repair completed in Andover today

Another property sorted ready for the wetter months ahead 👍

The gutters were fully cleared using the gutter vacuum, and while carrying out the work I also dealt with a leaking gutter joint.

The old union was removed, the gutter ends cleaned and checked, and a new replacement union fitted to get everything properly connected and watertight again. ✅

This is exactly why it’s worth dealing with gutter problems before autumn and winter really get going — a small leak or blockage can quickly become a much bigger nuisance once we start getting persistent rain.

I carry out:

• Gutter clearances
• Gutter installation, repairs & replacement fittings
• Downpipe checks & blockages
• Fascia, soffit & gutter cleaning

🍂 BACK FOR AUTUMN – FREE downpipe guards with gutter clearances!

This offer proved really popular last year, so I’m bringing it back for autumn/winter 2026.

Book a gutter clearance with Cottrell’s Exterior Services Ltd and, where suitable, I’ll supply and fit downpipe guards completely FREE of charge.

Already have them fitted? No problem 👍 As part of the gutter clearance, I’ll remove, clean and refit/service your existing guards at no extra cost.

Downpipe guards are a simple way of helping prevent larger pieces of moss, leaves and debris entering the downpipes and causing blockages — particularly useful at this time of year.

The photos are from a gutter clearance completed today, with the existing downpipe guard cleaned and serviced as part of the job.

If your gutters are due a clearance before the autumn/winter weather sets in, feel free to get in touch.

This is why gutter clearance is worth keeping on top of 👀

A serious build-up of moss and debris in this one, restricting the gutter and leaving very little room for rainwater to flow properly.

Cleared using the gutter vacuum system, getting everything moving freely again. ✅

With autumn on the way, now is a good time to get gutters checked before the leaves and heavier rainfall arrive.

A good example of why I introduced Cottrell’s Circle ⭕️

During a recent property check for one of our regular window cleaning customers in Andover, I spotted gutters that were holding a significant amount of debris along with a leaking joint 🔴

Yesterday I returned to get it sorted — gutters cleared and the faulty fitting replaced 🟢

It’s exactly what the Circle service is designed for: keeping an eye on the exterior of the property while I’m already there regularly, so smaller maintenance issues can be picked up before they become bigger ones.

Another one ticked off 👍

GUTTER CLEARANCE & REPAIRS

Blocked gutters, leaking joints or a damaged section of guttering?

I can help with:
• Gutter clearance
• Leaking gutter joints
• Gutter repairs
• Downpipe issues
• Gutter, fascia & soffit cleaning

If you’re not sure what’s needed, just send me a photo and your postcode and I’ll let you know what I’d recommend.

No hard sell — if it only needs a small repair, I’ll tell you. If it needs clearing, cleaning or further work, I’ll explain the options first.
