Well, what a weekend went to Owls Lodge Shooting School on Saturday for practice and shot some stands that were part of our first CPSA event, didn’t score particularly well on the day but somehow shot 15/16 on two of the stands?? Then Sunday visited Hangman's Stone Sporting Clays and shot better than our practice the previous week, scores are still low but we are on the way up. Great layout, very friendly and superb facilities. Staff, refs and fellow competitors were really helpful as we had not been before. Onward and upward 🤞

Well yesterday saw our very first CPSA registered shoot Owls Lodge Shooting School. A superb ground , warm welcome , great weather , great referee and friendly squad members. But they were at another level!! A great experience with others offering help which was greatly appreciated. It’s not all about the glory scores but now we can see the standard of targets we should be practicing on🤞🏻Acorn Shooting the 25th October can’t come quick enough 🤞🙏

Good run out to Lains Shooting School for a cheeky sunny Saturday morning practice! Using Hull Cartridge Company CompX cartridges as well as a cheeky restock, putting into practice the tips and advice from Des at Acorn Shooting

It’s been a while since we posted as work has taken over, managed a couple of visits to Frobury Farm Ltd- Fishing and Shooting a cracking facility with a range of targets for all abilities. We mixed it up with some S***t this time which has highlighted I need more practice!! The Sporting was more of a success. Looking forward to more practice over the coming weeks.

Well it’s been a while since we last posted, work has taken priority so practice has been limited. We were looking forward to practicing Frobury Farm Ltd- Fishing and Shooting then off to Avalon Guns open day to check out Caesar Guerini UK. However on Thursday having avoided it so far I tested positive for Covid and yesterday so did Karen!! Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery. All those going and to the staff at Avalon have a great day 👍

Great morning on Saturday, a little shoot at Lains Shooting School with friends and family Alfie Appleton and Tommy O’Brien. It’s amazing how things change with only 5 pairs per pairs per stand!

Followed by a trip to Wadswick Country Store which turned out to be more than impressive thanks to Alex and of course his mum for remembering us from the week before! Thank you Machin for the heads up!!

Looking forward to Barbury Shooting School game fair this Saturday!

So the journey begins! Today we visited Long Siberia and this was our first outing recording our scores on strictly 5 pairs per stand and no show birds. It’s quite bizarre how the psychological effect knowing the score is being recorded adds pressure. We have said from the word go that this is a journey and therefore we need to have a true starting point. Great advice from Acorn Shooting to start implementing the discipline. We have been lucky enough to be invited to Wallers Ash Gun Club to take part their shoot so we will see how things go. 🤞🏻we don’t have another medical incident like today where I managed to slice my finger open on one of the ejectors causing claret to go everywhere resulting in something that only Bear Grills would be proud of using a hankie, a face mask and a latex glove. It’s not just about posting the glory, you have to include the not so glorious!!
