⚡ Shocking - Kitchen fitters strike again!
We recently responded to a callout for a new kitchen where one of the ovens stopped working. When the customer tried to unplug it, they received a shock – and the appliance engineer refused to work on it.
Upon investigation, we discovered a serious issue. The oven was incorrectly installed on a 13A socket, despite requiring a 16A circuit. To resolve it, we had to dismantle part of the kitchen and have to run a dedicated circuit from the consumer unit. This kitchen had been fitted by a well-known national company, but it would seem, didn’t use a qualified electrician for the job.
This is why testing and certification matters. We always work with reputable kitchen fitters, and our electrical work is fully certificated. If you don't have an electrical certificate for your new kitchen, there’s a chance the work wasn’t done by a qualified professional.
⚠️ If you have any concerns about your electrical work, call us today. Don’t take any chances when it comes to your safety.
