🐝 A Day in the Life of a Pest Controller

“We can’t enjoy the garden… the wasps are everywhere.”

That was the call Brandon received from the owners of a two storey home in the Chilterns after they noticed a constant stream of wasps flying around the front of their property.

At first glance, there was very little to see.

But Brandon knows that wasps rarely advertise where they’ve built their nest.

After carefully observing the flight paths, he traced the activity to a nest hidden behind the roof tiles, just to the left of the porch, between the lounge and the upstairs window a location that would have continued to grow busier as the summer progressed.

With the nest safely identified, Brandon carried out a targeted treatment using Vulcan P5 DP insecticidal powder, ensuring the insecticide reached deep into the nest where the colony was most active.

As with all professional wasp treatments, the homeowners were advised to allow up to 72 hours for the treatment to take full effect while the remaining worker wasps returned to the nest and came into contact with the insecticide.

This wasn’t Brandon’s first visit to the property. Having previously treated other pest issues for the homeowners, they knew exactly who to call when a new problem appeared.

Successful wasp control isn’t just about eliminating the nest it’s about locating it accurately, treating it safely and giving homeowners the confidence that they can enjoy their property again without worrying about painful stings.
