Nice little extension roof completed along with additional roof vents, lead ridge, existing cottage roof with new solar and cement work. A fine blend of the old and the new, little bit quirky

Some major repairs carried out over last few weeks, old failed ridging and a leaky sideslip has caused major internal damage.

Old ridge removed✅
Slates stripped off to reveal roof timbers ✅
All rotten sarking and structural timber replaced✅
New sarking and membrane installed ✅
New slates and ridge ✅
Soakers installed at skews and filled and finished ✅

Finally finished this project today, full roof stripped back to rafters, new osb boarding and breather membrane installed. New tiles and maintenance free ridging and verge caps. Soffits and fascia’s replaced for white upvc and high capacity guttering installed. Old tired garage roof replaced with box profile. Really pleased with how this turned out. Roof completed in Stonehaven today.
40 years old and completely knackered (the roof not me 😉)

Good progress this week, old leaking roof tiles ripped off, roof stripped back to rafters, new osb sheets installed and vapour barrier, counter battens and tile battens, new grey Marley mensips look on point as well!
