Called out to an old Baxi back boiler that hadn't been serviced for 6 years – as you can see from the photos, it was in a terrible state! 😳
I carried out a full strip-down and clean of the heat exchanger and pilot assembly, replaced a faulty thermocouple, then completed all the necessary chimney smoke safety checks to make sure everything was operating safely.
Despite being around 40 years old, this old Baxi is now back up and running perfectly! 💪
Just because a boiler is old doesn't always mean it needs replacing. With the right knowledge and experience, many older boilers can still be repaired and kept running safely.
