CSE provide Vacuum Excavation services to an array of customers within the Construction and Utilities industries across the United Kingdom.

“We are finding out that more and more companies throughout the UK are now introducing Vacuum Excavation as common practice for excavating around any live underground asset on their projects. All of our team are very passionate about delivering an extremely reliable and efficient service to all of our existing and future clients.”

There’s a difference between digging a giant hole in the ground and digging exactly what you need.

This is where precision matters.

Vacuum excavation allows us to remove material in a much more controlled way, helping keep the excavation focused on the area that actually needs opening up.

The result?
A tidy, controlled excavation ready for the next stage of the work.

No unnecessary digging. No making the job bigger than it needs to be. Just precise excavation that helps keep the project moving.

We could tell you all about the work happening on site... but we think the operator’s shadow deserves a bit of the spotlight. 😂

Behind every vacuum excavation job is an operator or two putting in the work, even if, on this occasion, they’ve somehow managed to become the most interesting part of the photo.

Just another day keeping projects moving.

‘A truck touched by the heavens’... One of our vac-ex trucks having its main character moment on a recent job site.

We spend all day exposing utilities. Sometimes we also accidentally create album-cover-worthy truck photos.

Before a new road could go in, our client needed to know exactly where the HV cable was.

CSE were brought in on this building site to carry out trenching works for a new road.

The challenge was an existing HV cable running through the area so, before excavation progressed, the CSE team used vacuum excavation to expose the cable and establish its exact position.

Using vac-ex, the team could see where the cable was running across the road and work around it with a much clearer understanding of what was beneath the surface.

That's what good excavation support is about. Find what's below. Keep the job moving.

A HV cable isn't something you want to find with an excavator bucket.

When you're working on a construction site, knowing that a service is somewhere underground isn't enough.
You need to understand where it is, how it runs and where excavation can safely take place.

Striking a high-voltage cable can have extremely serious consequences, from major damage to infrastructure and costly project delays to potentially life-threatening injury.

That's why exposing services before excavation progresses is such an important part of the job.

On this project, CSE used vacuum excavation to carefully expose HV cable so the team could see exactly where it was running across the proposed road.

You can't work around what you can't see.

A little more visibility underground can give the whole site a much clearer picture of what they're working with.

Another job where it’s all about getting the groundwork right.

Our operators Travis and Joey were on site digging a trench for a new drainage connection, helping get the work completed safely and keeping the project moving forward.

No fuss. No unnecessary complications. Just the right excavation to get the job done.

Safe excavation. Straightforward solutions. Projects kept moving.

This isn't your average site wagon.

The CSE vac-ex truck is built to remove spoil using air and suction, rather than relying on a traditional excavator bucket. That makes it particularly useful when excavation needs to be more controlled.

The truck can remove the excavated material quickly and efficiently, giving the team a clear view of what's underneath as they work.

It's a simple concept: Suck it out. See what's there. Keep digging with confidence.

If you’re working around existing services, having the right machine for the job can make a big difference.

Before → After. 💧

A water main connection completed on a building site in Hemel Hempstead.

Before the connection can be made, the existing infrastructure needs to be safely exposed and accessible. That's where vacuum excavation comes in.

Our team carefully excavated around the existing water main, creating the access needed for the connection work to be carried out.

From an untouched section of ground to a completed connection. Another job ready for the next stage of the build.

It's often the smaller excavations that help keep a much bigger project moving.

Got a connection coming up on your site? Let's keep it moving.

You rarely notice a water main until it fails.

When underground water infrastructure reaches the point where it needs replacing, the work that happens before the new pipe goes in is just as important as the replacement itself.

Good excavation isn't simply about moving earth. It's about safely exposing what's already there, creating access to critical infrastructure and giving the team the confidence to carry out the next stage of the work.

Because when you're working around existing utilities, knowing what's below the surface can make all the difference.

At CSE, we help contractors safely expose underground services so projects can keep moving.

Understand what's there. Excavate safely. Keep the job moving.

Keeping the operators fuelled is an important part of the job!
Another day on site. Another ice cream.

We’re not saying an ice cream is an essential part of the job… but we’re also not saying it isn’t. 😂

When you’re out keeping projects moving, you’ve got to make time for the important things too.
