This rosemary is a low-growing, spreading evergreen shrub, delighting with year-round foliage that brings a highly aromatic feature to a landscape.

Spotlight on Mahonia: Evergreen shrubs 🌿

Early autumn (September to October) is the optimal time to plant evergreen shrubs, whilst the soil remains warm from summer.

We’re shining the spotlight on Mahonia. These tough, spiny-leaved shrubs have an upright habit that provide year-round structure when other planting dies back, and a steady stream of interest throughout the year with flowers and berries.

Our highlighted varieties:
• Mahonia eurybracteata 'Soft Caress' – An evergreen shrub with a height and spread of 1.2m, yellow, honey-scented flowers in late summer and autumn and berries in the winter.
• Mahonia × media 'Winter Sun' – An evergreen shrub growing to 3m tall, and clusters of fragrant, bright yellow flowers in winter followed by winter berries.

Top planting tips:
• Pick a sheltered spot with moist, well-drained soil.
• Prefers light or deep shade, though may tolerate sun if the soil is kept from being too dry.

The sun was shining, and so were the Viridis Plants team! ☀️🌿

Viridis Plants had a fantastic time at the Pro Landscaper Project Awards & Summer Showcase, and were incredibly proud to partner with the event helping to transform the stage and entertainment areas with a selection of our trees, plants and specimens at the stunning De Vere Horsley Estate.

It was a pleasure catching up with familiar faces, meeting new industry connections, and celebrating the incredible talent across the landscaping sector. There's nothing quite like bringing the industry together in such a unique setting.

A huge congratulations to all the winners and finalists. The standard of work on display was exceptional, with every project showcasing outstanding creativity, craftsmanship and attention to detail.

A special congratulations to Hughes Studio, winners of the Design Between £50k–£100k category, with the award presented by our very own Ryan Simpson. A thoroughly deserved achievement! 👏
