How will we blend old and new❓

A question we get asked often by our clients and this extension project in Barnt Green was no different! Our clients were looking for a modernised open plan kitchen and living space that would blend sympathetically to the existing period property.

We love a modern take on the traditional so picked up on cues from the existing property such as the existing plinth, brickwork window surrounds and flat roofed dormer windows and used them to create a modern interpretation for our new rear extension.

We feel it blends incredibly well and suits the existing property perfectly to combine old and new!

We were approached by our client to add more living space at ground floor level as well as adding more kerb appeal to the existing frontage, we'll let you be the judge but we think it's a huge improvement, the rendered frontage conceals a mixture of differing brick types from previous extensions with a softer but traditional window fenestration offering a modern but timeless appearance 🏡🆕

Here's a before an after for an extension and renovation project in Albrighton, we love a project like this where we are tasked with making the most of an existing property. We see it often, our client's love the area they live in but the house just isn't quite big enough. Fast forward and we have designed a second storey extension over the existing garage and single storey rear extension to offer an additional bedroom, office space and lounge area as well as an open plan kitchen, living and dining space helping to offer the perfect family home! As well as sprucing up the exterior to offer a timeless but modernised look, with real kerb appeal!☑️..

Planning submitted✅ We have recently submitted a planning application for this extension and renovation scheme in Nottingham. This is one of our specialist adaptation projects working alongside a returning and fantastic client. The proposed extension provides a wheelchair accessible bedroom, wetroom and lounge space with a dedicate carer's area as well as a new master suite.

Not only were we able to provide design and planning advice with the help of we were also able to offer a fully estimated cost breakdown of the works to allow our clients to budget for the construction moving forwards.

Here's our proposal for a single storey rear extension to a terraced property in Tettenhall. The existing property which is a traditional Victorian terrace, has a somewhat narrow floor plan therefore the vaulted extension allows the space to feel larger, lighter and better linked to the garden spaces. Having been previously extended it has lost some of it's original character so a more modern approach allows for a lighter rendered exterior. The extension offers the opportunity to re-locate the land locked kitchen into a more open plan kitchen, dining and seating space for our clients lovely family! 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦..

Feasibility design and sketches ready and prepared for our pre-application enquiry for this replacement dwelling in Wolverhampton. Turning a single storey bungalow that has had several extensions which have led to an inefficient layout not suitable for a growing family. We have looked at a new two storey dwelling with rooms within the loft space. We always recommend using the pre-application enquiry process for speculative proposals like this to ensure our clients expenditure is minimised before a prinicple has been agreed, it's also a great opportunity to commence conversations with the planning department to make great progress...
