Communal garage roof project in Paisley for the local authorities.

We’ve completed a full strip and replacement of the 110m² roof spanning five communal garages in just 3 days.

The works included new joists and rafters, double headers for the mullions, and a new 19mm plywood deck. We then installed an IKO built-up felt roofing system, finished with 40 metres of welted drip details, new UPVC fascias and black rainwater gutters for a smart contrast.

We’re about to get underway with a full roof replacement across five communal garages for our client in Paisley.

The works will include:

✅ Stripping off the existing roof coverings
✅ Installing new timber joists, fascias and timber decking
✅ Fitting a new built-up felt roofing system, complete with welted drip edges
✅ Installing new guttering to manage rainwater effectively

A comprehensive overhaul to provide a strong, watertight roof and protect these garages for years to come.

This recent job was completed for a family member in Wishaw, where we removed an existing 3ft boundary fence, safely disposed of the old materials and replaced it with a new 6ft hit-and-miss timber fence.

We also employ fully qualified joiners who are extremely skilled at what they do, bringing the same care, pride and quality workmanship to our joinery and fencing projects as we do to our roofing works. 👏

A great transformation, giving the garden extra privacy and a smart new look! 👌

🔨 A busy and productive Friday for McPherson Roofing Ltd!

📍 New Stevenston, North Lanarkshire
One of our teams tackled ongoing water ingress at a property where leaks have caused problems for a number of years. Despite previous attempts by different contractors, the issues had never been fully resolved.

We stripped back a section of the roof to properly trace the source, identify the underlying defects and carry out the necessary repairs. Delighted to have finally resolved the issues today! ✅

📍 Newarthill
Another team completed a fantastic facelift to a privately owned property, supplying and fitting new UPVC roofline products, including rainwater gutters.

Before installing the new roofline, we removed and replaced defective timbers to ensure a sound foundation for the work. What a transformation to the property! 🏡✨

⛪ Newarthill Parish Church
We were also called last week to investigate possible water ingress at Newarthill Parish Church—another example of the varied properties and roofing concerns our team is asked to assess.

A very busy Friday and a great effort from the lads. From tracing persistent leaks to transforming tired rooflines, we take pride in getting to the root of the problem and carrying out the job properly.

🏠 Roof ventilation works in Glasgow city centre

We recently fitted eight UB19 roof vents to a communal block after severe mould was found on the OSB roof decking.

When the roof was installed, a non-breathable membrane was fitted. With insufficient ventilation, moisture built up in the roof space, contributing to condensation and mould on the OSB.

The new vents will improve airflow and help tackle the moisture issue that allowed the mould to develop.

Another example of why getting the details right during a roof installation matters.
