Have you ever wondered what goes on behind a heating and plumbing company?

Did you notice us go quiet for a while?

That is because Oliver was trying to do everything himself. The jobs. The quotes. The customers. The admin. And somehow the social media too.
Something had to give.
Here is what most people do not know. Oliver started documenting everything back in 2024. Real jobs. Honest moments. The days that were tough and the ones that were brilliant. All on the GoPro. It just never made it out.
After investing in himself and the business, the right things are now in place to make it happen.
WING'S is taking you back in time through all of it. Drip feeding it out consistently, nothing rushed, nothing thrown out just to fill a schedule.

Your hot water has stopped but your heating is absolutely fine. Here is why and here is what to try first.

This is one of the most confusing things a homeowner can experience. The boiler is firing. The radiators are warm. Everything sounds completely normal. But turn on a hot tap and there is nothing there.

It does not make sense. Until you understand what a zone valve is.

Your system has separate zone valves that control where the heat goes. One for your heating circuit and one for your hot water. When you call for hot water, that valve is supposed to open and signal the boiler to fire for it.

When it fails or sticks shut, the boiler has no idea you want hot water. So it does not produce any. Simple as that.

Now here is the quick fix that could save you a call out.

Most zone valves have a small manual lever on the side. If you find the zone valve for your hot water circuit and slide that lever across into the manual position, it forces the valve open. Your boiler should then fire on demand and push heat through to your hot water.

It is not a permanent fix. The valve will still need replacing. But it could get you out of trouble tonight or over a weekend while you wait for an engineer.

If you have tried this and you are still stuck, or you just want someone to come and sort it properly, drop us a message and we will get it booked in.

Have you ever wanted more water pressure and more space in your home but not known where to start?

This customer in Weybridge, Surrey wanted exactly that.

Boiler in the kitchen. Cylinder in the airing cupboard. Both taking up space they did not need to.

We quoted the full relocation into the loft with a new unvented cylinder. Better pressure throughout the home. The space back in the areas that actually matter.

When the quote came back a little higher than expected, we did not just leave it there.

We went back to the suppliers. Found alternatives. Brought the price into a range that worked for them.

That is the WING'S approach. We find a way to make it work rather than just saying take it or leave it.

If that is the kind of company you want, message us.

Has your heating or hot water ever just stopped working for no obvious reason?
This little component could well have been the reason why.
It is called a zone valve.
Most homeowners have never heard of one. But it is quietly doing one of the most important jobs in your heating system.
Here is how it works.
When you call for heating or hot water, your thermostat or cylinder stat sends a signal. The zone valve opens up for whichever you have asked for. And as it opens, it sends a signal to your boiler to fire.
No open valve. No signal. No heat.
There is usually one for your heating circuit and one for your hot water. When one fails, it tends to go without much warning.
But here is a tip that can get you out of trouble while you wait for an engineer.
Most zone valves have a small manual lever on the side. If your heating or hot water has suddenly stopped, try sliding that lever across into the manual position. It forces the valve open and can get your system running again in the short term.
Not a permanent fix. But it might just save you a cold night.
If you find yourself in that situation, drop us a message and we will talk you through exactly what to do.

Imagine your hot water cutting out mid-shower. Regularly.
That was life for this homeowner in Addlestone, Surrey.
She had a pump on her system but it was noisy, unreliable, and kept cutting in and out. If it decided to give up while you were in the shower, there was nothing you could do about it. You just had to deal with it.
We told her you do not have to live like this.
Harrison and Joe went in and tested the flow rate on the hot side using our Salamander AquaScan while the pump was off. The reading said it all. Without that pump working, there was virtually zero flow rate from every hot tap in the home. The whole system was completely reliant on it.
We swapped everything over to a Gledhill Pulsar Coil cylinder. No more pump. No more noise. No more cutting out at the worst possible moment.
The difference was immediate. Proper flow. Proper pressure. Hot water throughout the home exactly when she needs it.
More efficient. More reliable. And a customer who can finally just enjoy her home the way she should.
If you have been putting up with something similar and just accepted it as normal, do not. Get in touch and we will tell you exactly what can be done.

I'm still learning. And now I'm helping others do the same.

I've just become a brand ambassador for Trades Freedom Club and honestly it feels like a natural next step in where this journey is going.

For those who don't know, Trades Freedom Club is a coaching programme built specifically for trade business owners. It's where I've been doing a lot of my own learning over the past several months and it's genuinely changed how I think about running Wings.

Systems. Marketing. Mindset. Leadership. The kind of stuff they don't teach you when you're coming up through the tools.

But here's the thing. Becoming an ambassador doesn't mean I've got it all figured out. Far from it. I'm still in the room learning every single week alongside other trade business owners who are all trying to build something better.

What it does mean is that I believe in what they're teaching enough to put my name to it. And if sharing what I'm learning helps even one other tradesman build a better business and get the respect this industry deserves, then that matters to me.

Elevating the trades has always been part of what Wings stands for. This is just another way of doing that.

If you're a trade business owner and you're figuring it out on your own, you don't have to be. Drop me a message and let's talk.
