💧 Leak Detection & Repair – Molesey

We were recently called out to a property in Molesey to investigate a concealed water leak.

Using our thermal imaging equipment, we were able to identify the location of the leak on our first visit without causing unnecessary damage to the property.

Rather than removing the shower tray and surrounding finishes, we came up with a less invasive solution — accessing the pipework externally through the brickwork.

Once access was made, we located a leaking push-fit fitting, carried out the repair and got the customer back up and running with minimal disruption and damage.

💧 HIDDEN LEAK? WE’LL FIND IT.

This leak was concealed beneath the floor with no obvious access.

Using targeted leak detection methods, we were able to locate the source and keep the access required to a small, controlled area — rather than unnecessarily lifting large sections of flooring.

Once exposed, the leaking pipework was identified and repaired.

🚰 Commercial Water Manifold Installation 🏢

Another commercial plumbing project completed this week for a customer who owns a block of flats.

The building was originally supplied through a single water meter, so we installed a new multi-outlet water manifold ready for the local water authority to return and fit individual water meters to each flat.

This installation provides a neat, organised and future-proof solution, allowing every property to have its own independently metered water supply while making future maintenance and isolation much simpler.

A recent project where we modernised the entire hot water and heating system.

We removed the old cold water storage tank and feed & expansion tank from the loft, relocated the hot water cylinder into the loft space, and converted the system to a fully sealed heating system with a new sealed system kit and unvented hot water cylinder.

🚨 Gas Leak Found & Repaired 🚨

We were recently called out after a customer could smell gas inside their property. The National Gas Emergency Service attended first and isolated the supply to make the installation safe.

The customer then contacted Surrey Heat Co. to trace and repair the leak. After carrying out the relevant gas safety checks and leak detection procedures, we identified the fault as a leaking cooker bayonet fitting. The faulty fitting was removed and capped off, the installation was retested, and the gas supply was safely reinstated.

If you have an old cooker bayonet fitting that is no longer in use, it may be worth considering having it capped off, especially if it has been in place for many years.

Gas leaks should never be ignored. If you can smell gas, call the National Gas Emergency Service immediately on 0800 111 999.

🚨 Emergency Callout Completed 🚨

This customer was left without heating and hot water after a leaking soil pipe above the boiler allowed water to enter the appliance, causing an electrical fault and shutting the boiler down.

After diagnosing the issue, I carried out the necessary repairs to the boiler to safely restore heating and hot water, before repairing the leaking soil pipe to prevent any further water damage and future breakdowns.
