Hi I'm Ash. I've been a professional TV camera operator since 1998 filming all over the world for various broadcasters.
4 years ago I purchased a drone for recreational purposes and have really enjoyed flying it. For the last year I've been flying as a volunteer for the Dogs 4 Rescue charity in Accrington, capturing their new build from the air which has gained me valuable experience.
In June 2023 I flew my drone to look at my Mother In Laws new house in Rishton and discovered ridge tiles with missing mortar, broken tiles and blocked gutters. She arranged for a roofer to fix the problems, a week later I took the drone up to discover the roofer hadn't done what he'd said and left her very disappointed and demanded a refund which she got with the drone evidence.
October 2023 I flew the drone for a friend over his rental property to discover mortar missing out of all the ridge tiles and a broken tile, all this discovered without even disturbing the tenant (who works nights so was fast asleep when I inspected) Video and photos sent to my friend's roofer who quoted without even leaving his house!!
I was inspired to branch out into roof inspections (or photography if required) after someone parked outside my house, got his binoculars out to try and inspect his own roof.
I have £1 million public liability insurance, all the necessary Civil Aviation exam paper work and flyer ID, everything legal following the 'Drone Code' and privacy of neighbours respected.
As an introduction to my new venture operating under Ash Cameraman Limited, I will be charging £65* for your roof inspection, this will cover the roof, chimney and gutters. Video and photos will be sent via email or if time permits I can download there and then on your own laptop.
Please note booking will be postponed due to rain or extreme high winds without charge.
*£100 for large premises like warehouses and churches.
