As the heating gets used more, air can build up in your radiators, stopping them from heating properly. If your radiator is cold at the top but warm at the bottom, it may need bleeding.

Bleeding your radiators can:

As we wrap up 2025, I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported me this year.

It’s been a big year! I’ve officially wrapped up CountyPlumb and launched Abingdon Plumbing & Heating. New name, new branding, a new website, and an overall better customer journey from first message to job completion. The aim has been simple: make it easier for customers to book in, understand what’s happening, and feel looked after from start to finish.

It hasn’t all been plain sailing, there’s been plenty of ups and downs, and I’ve had to learn how to do business differently. But I’m proud of how far things have come, and I’m grateful for every customer who has trusted me in their home.

The best part has been continuing to deliver a good service and seeing it reflected in the 5-star reviews, repeat customers, and recommendations. I’ve learned new skills, improved how I work, and I’m going into the new year with a clear focus: raise the bar even higher.

💧 Week Between Christmas Plumbing Tip:

Flush Out Your Pipes with Hot Water 🔥🚰

After holiday cooking, parties, and heavy sink use, small amounts of grease, soap, and food debris can build up in your pipes.

Do this:

Boil or heat water safely.

Slowly pour it down kitchen sinks and drains.

Repeat for bathroom sinks and tubs if needed.

Why it’s great:

Prevents slow drains after holiday meals.

Reduces odors.

A simple “reset” for your plumbing before the New Year.

Bonus: You can also add a small cup of baking soda before pouring the hot water for extra cleaning power. 🧪✨

🐶 Meet my little apprentice, Beau 🐾

It’s been a while since Beau has come out on the road with me, but today they’re back on the van seat keeping me company between jobs.

Long days are a lot easier with this face riding shotgun, greeting customers, watching the world go by and making sure I don’t stop for too many sausage rolls on the way. 😅

Nice reminder that it’s not just about plumbing, it’s about enjoying the day while we’re out helping people keep their homes warm.
