Thank you so much to everyone who showed my Dolly Parton Tribute portrait so much love 🙏
I woke up this morning to some really lovely words that brought a tear to my eyes 🥹
Upon watching the video back again, I realised that the painting wasn't quite finished 😆 So this morning, I painted Dolly's earring and gave the painting a shiny Gold border.
Dolly was such a fierce inspiration and advocate for female values, dignity, empowerment and independence.
She made such a huge impact on millions of people's lives through her music, her charity work and through decades of major philanthropic work, focusing on childhood literacy, disaster relief, medical research and education.
Dolly also founded Dolly Parton's Imagination Library in 1995, which has gifted over 300 million free books worldwide to children from birth to age five. The program was inspired by her father's inability to read.
I am making prints of my Dolly Painting and will be donating 20% of all sales to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, which will provide a child in the UK with a free book delivered straight to their door.
Each print will be approximately 20cm x 20cm, hand embellished with Gold and Rhinestones (Dolly loved her bling!), signed and will come with it's own certificate of authenticity.
