production operatives to join our friendly team.

Are you -
• Punctual and reliable?
• Able to pick up new skills quickly?
Do you -
• Have good hand, eye coordination?
• Have previous experience in manufacturing?

You would be working alongside other operators and individually (once training has been completed) the successful
applicants will be responsible for

• Preparation of cables
• Crimping/terminating cables
• Final assembly and possibly box build

Experience in electronic manufacturing would be an advantage – but is not essential as full training will be given.

• Salary meets national living wage
• Hours of work: 39 Hours per week ¦ Mon – Thu 07:30 – 16:30 & Fri 07:30 – 12:30
• Trained and certified to IPC620 standard
• Excellent overtime rates
• Annual pay review
• Christmas shutdown
• Uniform provided

We have a new position arise within the test department for a test operator. The test operators will work electrical/electronic products using various test equipment.

Key task/responsibilities
• Setting up new tests on the Easy touch Cirris Testers.
• Carry out tests on electrical/electronic equipment using various test equipment, eg; Cirris, Megger, DVM, Claire and Continuity testers.
• Logging test records.
• Reporting faults via rejects sheets to the relevant supervisor for rectification.
• Raising certificates of conformity when required.

The above list of duties are not inclusive and other duties will be added over time.

Previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided to the successful candidate.

• Printing and collating production works orders.
• Printing component labels for works orders.
• Identify production shortages and highlight to the purchasing team.
• Ensure material shortages are prioritise and cleared through the stores and issued into kits in a timely manner.
• Update Sage 200 reflecting the shortages and their due date

Previous experience would be beneficial, but not essential.
• Salary meets national living wage

HR and Quality Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at SWAN EMS. You will be the main point of contact for all HR related queries and will also drive the quality agenda throughout the business. You will have experience in either a HR or Quality Assurance role, whilst a background in both would be advantageous, training will be provided.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Human Resources:
• Be the first point of contact for all HR-related queries
• Administer HR-related documentation, such as contracts of employment.
• Ensure the relevant HR database is up to date, accurate and complies with legislation
• Assist in the recruitment and selection process
• Liaising with HR consultants
• Organising training and development
• Handling the disciplinary and grievance process
• Monitoring and Managing attendance levels
• Keep on top of the current Covid-19 rules and regulations ensuring the business is compliant

Quality:
• Overseeing quality and ensuring the factory is ‘audit ready’ at all times.
• Understanding customer expectations of and needs from a product.
• Managing the Vendor discrepancy process
• Controlling and Monitoring the Corrective Action reports
• Controlling and Monitoring the ECN's
• Liasing with external quality consultants
• Maintaining the current ISO9001:2015 Quality Manual
• Conducting internal audits and preparing for external audits.
• Monitoring and evaluating internal production processes when necessary.
• Engaging with customers and supplies with quality issues and gathering product feedback.
• Producing statistical reports on quality standards.
• Reporting to senior management on quality standard issues.
• Improving production efficiency and managing waste.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience of auditing
• Integrity and confidentiality
• Exceptional organisational skills
• Attention to detail and conscientious nature to ensure all tasks are completed
• Previous experience of managing disciplinary and grievance processes
• Excellent IT / Systems knowledge

Desirable:
• CIPD qualified to level 5 or above
• 2 year’s experience in a generalist HR role
• Previous experience working within quality assurance in an electronics / manufacturing environment
• Good knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 certification
• Auditing qualification
