Dear Clients, Friends & Family
As many of you may know I’m James, Jp, Top Notch 🫡 .. The journey over the past 11 years with Top Notch Carpentry has been one filled with dedication, hard work, and immeasurable joy. From the beginning of this venture alongside a close friend nearly 12 years ago to taking the reins independently for the last 9 years, it has been an amazing experience.
Throughout these years, I have had the immense privilege of collaborating with truly remarkable individuals. Working for such amazing people has been a deeply rewarding experience, and some of these relationships have profoundly impacted my life.
While it is with a heavy heart that I announce the transition away from Top Notch Carpentry, I take immense pride in what i have built. This decision did not come lightly; it stems from a profound sense of fulfilment and the understanding that change is a necessary part of growth. As i close this chapter of my life, I look forward to embarking on a new journey with JP Carpentry & Design, a venture that will continue to honor the values of quality and craftsmanship that you have come to expect.
The entrepreneurial path is one of immense highs and lows. While the past 12 years have brought some of the most fulfilling experiences, some years and recenty they have also presented unprecedented challenges. Life has not been easy for me personally; a series of difficult choices ultimately led to an overwhelming situation. The overall strain—personally, mentally, and emotionally—became too much to bear. Few truly comprehend the immense pressure of running you’re own company, navigating huge weekly financial outlays, and bearing the responsibility for so many individuals and their families who depend on the business and myself to provide and perform.
The decision to step away from Top Notch has been a truly heartbreaking one . As a father of four young children, I have wrestled with the challenges of balancing my personal battles & professional commitments with the precious moments that I wish to spend with my family. This journey has been long and, at times, exhausting, but through it all, I have maintained a sense of pride and honesty in what I worked so hard for over the years.
I remain deeply grateful for the support and trust my clients have placed in me over the years. The experiences, relationships, and memories created through Top Notch Carpentry will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you to anyone and everyone that’s ever been a part of my story. I look forward to continuing our relationship under the JP Carpentry & Design banner.
