What a day, our first trade stand at our local show and wow! We even managed to pick up champion overall stand at the show!
For everyone who had a shot at our guess the weight of the log, the log weighed in at 544kg and our winner was Claudia Baxendale.

A busy start to the new year for us with a couple of challenging jobs

We were recently called by a landowner due to their concern for a few large roadside trees having Ash dieback and being a danger so close to the road.
We used winch assisted felling and traffic management for maximum safety to us and the general public.
Once felled, and as seen in the picture, you could see the true extent of the disease within these trees.

It’s been a pleasure to work alongside the team at The Scottish Crannog Centre on the ongoing local project. We have been using our auger and timber grab on the compact excavator to drill and install the timber poles for the main structures of the education buildings. We look forward to working with the team again in the near future for the next stage of the project.

A few action shots of the new Westtech grapple saw. Today we put it to the test removing storm damaged trees from a blocked water course with the approval from SEPA. A very safe and efficient way of working in a tricky location.
