The course is designed to give you a real insight into what it’s like to work as an electrician, helping you understand the trade, learn practical skills and see whether a career in electrics could be right for you.

A huge well done to all our athletes who competed at the YDL Final at Grangemouth today! 👏

Whilst the final result wasn’t quite what we were hoping for, the team gave it everything and we’re incredibly proud of them all. 💪

💙 **Plenty of team spirit**, with athletes stepping up to compete in events outside their usual disciplines.

⚡ Training Morning – New Electrical Testing Software ⚡

Thank you TestFast for the training & demonstration

A productive training morning getting hands-on with our new electrical testing software.

The session gave the team the opportunity to work through the new system, understand how to record and manage test results, and get familiar with the process before using it out in the field.

Keeping up to date with new technology and making sure everyone is confident using it helps us work more efficiently, accurately and consistently.

Great to see the team getting involved and putting the new software through its paces. 👏

He wanted an apprenticeship but unfortunately we had to turn him down as I don’t think he’d have the speed & endurance to keep up with the demands of the job 😂

All jokes aside a great effort from Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce to put on such a great event & to all the sponsors involved.

Great night of learning from one of the greatest athletes of all time.

So much to take in for developing a business as well - from dealing with pressure, mental health, thinking about the competition, having confidence & so much more.

We’re delighted to welcome Evan Towler to Shinnie Electrical Ltd as our newest apprentice electrician.

Evan joins us after previously playing for Aberdeen Football Club, bringing with him the same dedication, discipline, and strong work ethic that’s needed both on the football pitch and in the electrical trade.

As he begins his journey in the industry, we’re excited to help him develop his skills, gain hands-on experience, and build a successful career with our team.

Another mains board replacement completed, bringing this installation up to modern safety standards.

This new consumer unit includes AFDDs (Arc Fault Detection Devices), providing an additional layer of protection by detecting dangerous arc faults that conventional circuit breakers and RCDs may not identify. This helps reduce the risk of electrical fires caused by damaged cables, loose connections, or deteriorating wiring.

✔️ New consumer unit installed
✔️ AFDD protection for enhanced fire safety
✔️ RCBO protection
✔️ Fully tested, inspected, and certified

Investing in the latest electrical protection means greater peace of mind and improved safety for the property and its occupants.
