Better late than never! 🕒 It’s been a whirlwind few weeks, but we are thrilled to announce that the A.R.I. Nature Gardens’ charity project is officially open!

This project is all about celebrating nature with minimal intervention. We’ve enhanced the garden's natural beauty by adding accessible paths and perfectly positioned seating spots to take in the views. Plus, we've boosted local biodiversity by planting new trees, adding native hedging, and creating deadwood habitats for wildlife. 🐦🏡 Be sure to stop by the hugely informative and colourful information boards too!

A huge congratulations to the team and a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported this project! 🎉🐝🐜🐛🦋🐌🐦‍⬛🪻🌸🌿

Get a cup of your preferred liquid, sit down in a quiet place and get your head around this. I would love to think that we intuitively know this stuff but these guys have done the research to confirm it’s true - be prepared to have your mind blown.

Planted May 2025, good to see how much it has evolved, a year later.

Fantastic to go back and see how this garden design and installation has held up. Designed by The Garden Design Company Scotland and constructed by Landform Ltd 10 years ago, getting a wee haircut to refresh it. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/196E7TFAya/?mibextid=wwXIfr

We started this renovation back in 2009 believe it or not and it wasn't that the original design wasn't good (not mine), from the Client's perspective, it is simply that it just didn't have any winter interest and fell apart during these dark months when you need as much happy-everything! So, we set about a programme of trying to create more interest through succession planting and it has worked but we are still doing tiny tweaks which is why I was back this week, having removed some of the burnt out conifer topiary meaning the area where these were removed, required a bit of rejuvenation. This is the thing, gardens are and should be constantly evolving to get the best out of them. Dividing, removal, transplanting existing...whatever it is, it is not just OK but ESSENTIAL to keep this process of change in your thoughts - constantly seeing the new potential. Caveat is, know/learn what does and doesn't like being moved; find out what can be moved at the right time of year for that plant and lastly, always understand that despite all your best efforts, it's still 50/50 survival....for a whole host of reasons that are probably outwith your control. This is gardening. No fear, there is always a solution and change is renewal! Good Luck!
