Short on numbers today so ended up a longer day than expected, but job done. Tiles stripped and replaced, felt and batten renewed, new gutters, eaves protectors fitted to help extend the life of the first row of felt, and new dry ridge system fitted.

With the extremes in weather we've had lately, a lot of old felt is perishing and starting to cause leaks. Felt renewal like above is a relatively cheap and easy repair that can give your roof a new lease of life and, more importantly, protect the inside from water damage. Time for a complete overhaul. Redundant chimney removed, roof stripped back to the rafters, with new breathable felt membrane, new batten and new tiles. All in a weekends work 👌

Busy day yesterday removing and renewing the fascias, soffits and rain water goods to this single wrap around extension, as well as removing a few metres of slate where the felt had perished, making watertight with new membrane and replacing slates.
