Here’s a picture from an EICR that we carried out today.

As you can see from the picture, the internal insulation has filled the distribution board.

If you’ve had internal cavity wall insulation installed at your property, we recommend that you have your distribution board and electrical accessories inspected and tested to be in the safe side.

From the second picture, it is clear to see the evidence that the insulation has had on the electric cables that were in use. The pvc sheath surrounding the copper wire has burn signs from the reaction to exposure of the insulation.
