Aviation Week reports that Cirrus Aircraft delivered its 800th Vision Jet in September, reaching the milestone nearly 10 years after the first SF50 was delivered in December 2016.

According to Aviation Week’s tracked fleet data, the milestone aircraft was delivered from Cirrus’ Knoxville, Tennessee, facility. The achievement comes as Cirrus rolls out its third-generation G3 Vision Jet, which incorporates more than 30 refinements, including cabin and interior updates, expanded seating for up to six adults, and avionics improvements.

Among the most significant features is Garmin’s Safe Return Emergency Autoland system, designed to automatically take control of the aircraft and land it in an emergency if the pilot is unable to do so. The continued evolution of the single-engine personal jet reflects Cirrus’ effort to improve comfort, capability and safety while building on a program that has now produced 800 aircraft.
