For years, Parc Montcalm was hidden behind the buildings on Avenue de Toulouse. Its new entrance finally gives the park an address.
The steel gate opens the park to the street but can still be locked. Slender bars, turning on a pivot, keep the view open even when it’s closed. Between them, a sentence appears: « les arbres murmurent leurs rêves », the trees whisper their dreams.
Opened on 6 May 2026.

A townhouse on the Capucienenlaan in Aalst.
The house already had a lot going for it: high ceilings, generous light, original mouldings and parquet. We restored what was there and focused our intervention on the kitchen, dining room and bathroom.
Art plays a big role in this home, so the spaces were shaped around the works.
In the new parts we chose noble materials and kept the details refined: shadow gaps, floating volumes, stone and oak meeting cleanly. Nothing loud, just a warm, liveable home where old and new sit comfortably together.

A military building is designed for discipline. Long corridors, thick walls, everything in line. Not the obvious starting point for student housing.
For this project in Montpellier we chose not to demolish. The building was solid, it had a history, and it could carry more than it seemed. We kept what gave the place its character and added what it needs today: 100 student flats in a building that still remembers what it was.
Reuse isn’t only about materials and carbon. It’s about the soul of a place, and proof that old buildings can hold a contemporary way of living.

A project in Wolvertem, close to the village centre, with the church tower always in view.
We designed a sequence of volumes that follows the street and connects to the existing house with the pitched roof. Along with the architecture, we also worked out the urban integration, so the new buildings sit naturally within the village.
Compact homes, each with its own identity, that fit the scale of the place instead of competing with it.

The redesign of the Grote Markt in Aalst is a design by MMXV Architects engineered with OMGEVING
The new square puts the UNESCO-listed belfry center stage, with more greenery, better accessibility, and space for markets, terraces and everyday life. The design draws inspiration from a 1796 drawing of the square, honouring centuries of history while preparing the city centre for the future.

Somewhere between the new tram bells and the rustle of old and new leaves, Montpellier is growing a neighborhood that breathes with its own weather. Concrete and steel folds around balconies thick with green, stone façades catch the southern light, and the city’s microclimate feels less like a constraint and more like a collaborator. This is the quiet strength of MMXV, architecture that doesn’t impose on nature, but designs alongside it.

A rectory, reimagined in the heart of Erpe-Mere.
Left beside the village church, the old manor house is being restored for a professional practice, its coach house reborn as space for a future studio.
Around it, five new homes complete the site with care, cars tucked out of sight, each with its own private garden under a protected oak, walnut and cypress.
Building permits are secured.

Kurt Visual Artist / Photographer and Maarten M M X V Architecture & More met as fellow guests of honor at Hopduvelfeesten in Asse and they found more common ground than expected, and started with a small farmhouse renovation.
Then came “the Pentagon”: built into a slope, half sunk below ground, since featured across the design press.
Carte blanche, one instruction: “nature always wins over architecture”.
