🇺🇸 An American launch for the Cape Cod 767
Today in the H, we went all out for the mast stepping on the other side of the Atlantic, taking advantage of a hoist and a travel lift. A nice exception to our rule, since we usually handle this operation with just 2 or 3 people, using only elbow grease and no crane at all!

Behind the relaxed, vacation-like vibe once the boat is on the water lies the true Rosewest signature: meticulous preparation.
All the groundwork—anticipating every detail, pre-stepping the mast, and fine-tuning the rig—was done ahead of time back home in France.
The result? A perfectly smooth launch in the Hamptons and a sail dayboat ready to cruise without a hitch. That’s the art of preparation!

🇺🇸 Mise à l’eau américaine pour le Cape Cod 767 « Canary » !
Aujourd’hui dans les Hamptons, mâtage grand luxe de l’autre côté de l’Atlantique : nous avons profité d’une potence et d’un travel lift. Une belle exception à la règle, puisque nous réalisons habituellement cette manœuvre à 2 ou 3 personnes, à la force des bras et sans aucune grue !

Derrière cette allure décontractée et ce petit air de vacances une fois sur l’eau, se cache en réalité la signature du chantier Rosewest : une préparation millimétrée.
Tout le travail d’anticipation, le pré-mâtage et les pré-réglages pointus ont été réalisés en amont, chez nous en France.
Le résultat ? Une mise à l’eau d’une fluidité parfaite à Shelter Island et un voilier dayboat prêt à naviguer sans aucun accroc. C’est ça, l’art de la préparation ! ✨

☀️ Scorcher on Shelter Island! At 93°F (34°C), the idea of stepping the mast of the Cape Cod 767 Lounge by hand was quickly abandoned...
We went with the comfy option: using a winch to smoothly lift and guide the mast into place. A (nearly) perfect job! The only hiccup: a line decided to act up at the very last second. Bottom line, a quick trip up in the bosun’s chair awaits us bright and early tomorrow morning.
But as long as the good vibes are flowing, all is well at Rosewest! ✨

☀️ Coup de chaud sur Shelter Island ! Par 34°C, l’idée de mater le Cape Cod 767 Lounge à la force des bras a vite été abandonnée...
On a opté pour l’option confort : un coup de treuil pour soulever et positionner le mât en douceur. Une manœuvre (presque) parfaite ! Seul bémol : un bout a décidé de faire des siennes au dernier moment. Résultat des courses, une petite montée en chaise nous attend au petit matin.
Mais face à de tels paysages et avec l’esprit d’équipe, tant que la bonne humeur est là, tout va chez Rosewest !

🇺🇸 The Cape Cod 767 finds its paradise in the Hamptons! 🌊
So proud to have delivered our latest boat to its new owners on these gorgeous New York waters. It’s even joining its big brother, the 896, out there! ⛵️
✨ The perfect match: Its retractable keel makes navigating the shallow waters around Sag Harbor a breeze and completely worry-free (though we still don’t recommend using it as a rototiller for the yard! 😉).
Huge thanks to our new owners for such a warm welcome. Our team is now heading back to Bordeaux to prep for the next handovers! ✈️🇫🇷

Fiers d'a’oir transmis notre dernier-né à ses nouveaux propriétaires sur ce fabuleux plan d'e’u new-yorkais. Il y rejoint d'a’lleurs son grand frère, le 896 ! ⛵️
✨ Le match parfait : Sa quille rétractable permet de se jouer des eaux peu profondes de Sag Harbor en toute sécurité (même si on vous déconseille de l'u’iliser comme motoculteur ! 😉).
Un immense merci à nos armateurs pour leur accueil. Notre équipe redécolle vers Bordeaux pour préparer les prochaines mises à l’eau ! ✈️🇫🇷
