💙 Happy Work Friend Day! 💙
Good colleagues bring joy to everyday life and make work more meaningful. Today, we stopped two colleagues, Tuukka and Dominik, and asked them to describe what kind of colleague the other would be – as a tool! 🔧
Tuukka (left) works at Airfi in technical support and as an after-sales specialist, while Dominik tackles even the trickiest challenges in production assembly every day. The two work together almost daily, and their skills complement each other well. Before heading out on a service visit, Tuukka often checks with Dominik about what he should take with him and whether there’s anything he might not have thought of. Dominik, in turn, shares ideas for improving production, which Tuukka helps move forward. They communicate in English, as Dominik’s native language is Polish. Dominik also often acts as Tuukka’s interpreter on the production floor.
🔩 If your colleague were a tool, what would they be – and why?
Tuukka: Dominik would definitely be a drill – an efficient, versatile tool. He seems to have endless energy when it comes to solving problems, especially new ones. He’s innovative and highly solution-oriented, including when it comes to finding the right materials.
Dominik: Tuukka would be a pair of water pump pliers – they’re versatile and can be adjusted to fit all kinds of situations. Tuukka is definitely “the best of the best”! He solves every problem, focuses on one thing at a time, and always sees the job through to the end. He’s also always ready to help and in a good mood.
At the end, the two laugh that they’re like Yin and Yang and suggest taking a photo together with the same theme. 😁 We’ll leave that photo unpublished, though – this time! 😉
