PELLETERIA

Pelleteria brings four floors of an existing building together as a single house in the historic centre of Palma.
Originally divided into homes, workshops and offices, the building is transformed while preserving its original structure. A new sculptural staircase connects the different levels, creating a continuous sequence of spaces throughout the house.
The intervention combines the recovery of original architectural elements with a new spatial organisation, allowing the building to retain its character while adapting to its new life as a single home.

From the Archive.

Conceived around the idea of an interior plaza, the proposal reinterprets the hotel lobby as an open and flexible space where different programmes coexist without traditional partitions. A series of independent volumes define the uses while allowing the public space to remain continuous and connected.

The city descends to the sea.

Reimagining the GESA waterfront begins with a simple ambition: to reconnect Palma with the Mediterranean by transforming an urban void into a continuous public landscape.
Rather than approaching the intervention as a collection of individual buildings, the proposal is conceived as a unified system where public space becomes the element that brings together architecture, landscape and the city. A new topography absorbs the existing level changes, creating plazas, green spaces and routes that reconnect the urban fabric with the sea.
At the heart of the intervention, the GESA building is understood as one of Palma's most significant examples of modern architecture. Instead of altering its identity, the project proposes a careful rehabilitation that preserves its defining character while enhancing its environmental performance through passive strategies and a new bioclimatic envelope.

This proposal was developed as part of the architectural competition for the transformation of the GESA site in Palma, which brought together ten teams.

Vista Alegre.

Designed in response to the site's topography, the project is organised into two linear volumes that follow the natural slope of the land. The different housing typologies maximise outdoor living, giving each home its own identity while creating a dynamic residential ensemble overlooking the Bay of Palma.
