From bare field to Mediterranean dream. This week I went back to one of the gardens we finished a year and a half ago.

This space was transformed from an empty field into a Mediterranean garden filled with olive trees, strawberry trees, ornamental grasses and layered planting that blends beautifully with the surrounding landscape.

Looking for a Mediterranean plant combination for a pot? This combination thrives in shade and looks beautiful year-round. A dark pot paired with Agave attenuata and trailing Tradescantia zebrina.

The green tones in the Tradescantia echo the soft green foliage of the Agave attenuata, tying the composition together.

Locally sourced Mallorcan boulders with the right earthy feel to them. Not all stone is the same, but I really like these ones. Sculptural in a way.

We spent time on site this week carefully positioning and facing each boulder so they sit naturally within the landscape.
