We just completed this installation on a private villa in Mijas — and the view from the roof isn't bad either 😄

Here's what we installed:
⚡ Deye SUN-10K-SG04LP1 hybrid inverter (10kW)
🔋 2× Deye SE-G5.1 Pro-B batteries — 10.24kWh total storage
☀️ 18 solar panels across two roof planes
🛡️ Critical load wiring — fridge, security, router & lighting stay on even during a blackout

The standout feature on this job? We deliberately oversized the inverter. The client has a second south-facing roof slope that can take another 6–8 panels in the future. By specifying a 10kW unit now instead of a 6kW, they can expand the array later for the cost of panels only — no new inverter, no new paperwork from scratch. That €300–500 difference today saves €2,000+ tomorrow.

The system is now live and producing — with the Mijas in the background and the Costa del Sol coast in full view 🏔️🌊

No garage? No problem. Here's how we installed a 7.4 kW home EV charger at a villa in San Pedro de Alcántara — and made it look like it was always meant to be there.

The client had a plug-in hybrid and a fully electric car on order arriving later this year. No enclosed garage — just an open driveway and a landscaped garden. A standard wall-mount wasn't an option.

So we did something a bit different.

We fabricated a bespoke hot-dip galvanised steel pedestal, built locally in San Pedro to match the existing garden ironwork. It looks like a garden feature. The charger sits on top — an Orbis Viaris Uni 7.4 kW, Spanish-designed and Spanish-made by Orbis Tecnología Eléctrica in Madrid.

The supply cable runs in a buried conduit 60 cm below the driveway, with a dedicated 40 A circuit and protection against the DC leakage faults that standard household RCDs won't catch. RFID card authentication means only family vehicles can draw charge.

And crucially — no expensive upgrade to a three-phase supply. Dynamic load management means the charger automatically steps back when the house is drawing heavy load, so the existing single-phase Endesa supply is never exceeded. Boletín Eléctrico filed and closed.

⚡ NEW CASE STUDY: 7.4 kW single-phase EV charger installation — San Pedro de Alcántara, Marbella

This week we commissioned an Orbis Viaris Uni 7.4 kW single-phase EV charger at a private villa in San Pedro de Alcántara on the western edge of Marbella. The client has a plug-in hybrid today and a fully electric replacement on order — they wanted a charger that would handle either car overnight, on the existing single-phase Endesa supply, with no costly upgrade to three-phase, and no compromise on the look of the garden.

🔌 The brief
• Open driveway, no garage — wall-mount was not an option
• Existing single-phase 230 V Endesa supply (the standard for almost every villa across the western Marbella ring) — no civil works on the street
• Spanish-made charger with a Spanish-language warranty network

🚗 The result: ~45 km of range added per hour of charging — comfortably 60–80 kWh added across a 9–11 hour overnight window, which more than covers the daily driving cycle of a Marbella household. No three-phase upgrade. No higher fixed term on the bill. Spanish-made charger, fully integrated with the garden.
