When you accidentally start matching the energy of your own artwork! 🌈🦒💕

A little studio selfie with my colourful giraffe, who's finally got both eyes finished and is looking rather pleased with herself! 😂

I absolutely love bringing a bit of personality and unexpected colour to wildlife. Who says a giraffe has to be brown and beige?!

And that shimmering gold background... ✨ I'm obsessed with how it makes all those rainbow colours pop!

Would you have a rainbow giraffe hanging in your home? 🌈💛

Sometimes the whole painting is hiding in a single eye. 👁️✨

This is where everything comes together; light, colour, depth and emotion. A few tiny highlights can turn paint into a gaze that feels alive.

I could spend hours on one eye... and I sometimes do. 😅

Swipe in close and tell me... do you think it's starting to look back at you?

✨ Colour has officially arrived. ✨

This giraffe is slowly coming to life, one brushstroke at a time... and I have to admit, this rainbow palette is making me smile every time I step back from the easel.

There's still plenty to do; the eyes, the finishing details, and all the little touches that give a painting its personality, but seeing the character emerge is always my favourite part of the process.

I can't wait to show you how this one transforms. 🌈🦒

Which colour is your favourite so far?
