Professional Waterproofing & Drainage System for Large Raised Planters
We professionally prepare and protect large exterior raised planters, garden areas, and landscaped spaces, ensuring reliable waterproofing, drainage, and long-term protection of the structure.
The process begins with the preparation of the concrete surface, followed by the application of three layers of Sika waterproofing system to create a strong and durable barrier against water pe*******on.
After the waterproofing is completed, a special drainage plastic membrane is installed along the walls. Protective fixing profiles are securely attached using screws and wall plugs.
Between the profile and the wall, we apply a high-quality waterproof silicone adhesive/sealant, creating a tight and watertight connection. All joints and fixing points are carefully sealed to prevent water from penetrating behind the membrane or reaching the structural walls.
This carefully sealed system ensures that water is directed into the drainage layers and into the soil, rather than running down or penetrating the walls of the structure.
At the bottom, we install a high-quality geotextile/eco-fabric membrane. This layer allows water to pass through while retaining the soil and preventing soil erosion and blockage of the drainage system.
A layer of expanded clay (LECA) is then placed over the geotextile to create an efficient drainage and aeration layer. Another layer of geotextile is installed above the expanded clay before the planter is filled with high-quality soil.
The final result is a professionally constructed planting system designed for thuja, shrubs, trees, and other landscaping plants, providing efficient drainage while protecting the building structure from moisture and water damage.
