From a horse stable… to a space that helps people reclaim their lives.
This was more than a change of function. We studied the emotional and behavioral needs of people in recovery—creating safety without confinement, privacy without isolation, and connection without pressure.
Through adaptive reuse, we preserved the stable’s identity while transforming its central arena into a supportive social heart, enriched by nature, daylight, art, meditation, activities, and equine-assisted therapy.
Architecture cannot treat addiction alone, but it can create an environment that restores dignity, confidence, and hope.
We did not simply transform a building—we designed a new beginning.
