I like how painting is something intentional and yet always something unintentional happens also in the process. Am I still awake, or half asleep?

- Carl-Christian Frey (b. 1975) graduated from the University of Tartu, Faculty of Law and Pallas University of Applied Sciences in the field of Media and Advertising, where his teachers of painting included Peeter Allik, Meiu Münt and Kalli Kalde.
- Abstract oil paintings, which depict untouched primeval forests and landscapes.

Painting the portrait of the Grand Master of the Estonian Free and Accepted Freemasons was both a significant challenge and a great responsibility for me. The portrait now hangs as the seventh in the gallery of Grand Masters, alongside works by renowned artists such as Aapo Pukk and Valeri Vinogradov.
