At Fröskog in southern Sweden, SIC contributed to a hybrid renewable energy project combining wind and solar power☀️⚡

The project for Vasa Vind consisted of six 6 MW wind turbines and a 23-hectare solar park.

We delivered the full turnkey scope for the wind park, covering both civil and electrical works, including six rock-anchored foundations. For the solar park, our scope included ground levelling and the main HV cables.

The combination of wind and solar brought different disciplines and construction requirements together in one project, making coordination and experience across technologies an important part of the work.

🙏From seminar to follow-up – building on what we learned

In May, the SIC Denmark team took some time away from the daily routines to focus on culture, shared values and how we work together across the organisation.

As part of the seminar, we worked with our Insights profiles to get a better understanding of our own and each other’s strengths, differences and ways of working.

In August, we followed up. With a few months of everyday experience behind us, we revisited the topics and reflected on what we had noticed and learned since May – and how we can use those insights in our collaboration going forward.

The follow-up was an important part of turning the conversations from the seminar into something we can continue to work with in our daily collaboration across SIC.

SIC is officially registered and approved as a supplier in the Achilles system – with the highest rating of 5 stars and a sustainability score of 90.

Achilles evaluates suppliers across four key areas: environmental impact, social responsibility, governance and financial stability. For us, the assessment provides both external documentation of our work and a useful framework for further development.

A strong score is important – but so is what we do with it.

👉The Achilles assessment helps us identify where we are performing well and where we can continue to improve our processes, transparency and responsible practices across our operations and supply chain.

What a day!☀️ Our Danish SIC team recently got together with partners for an afternoon and evening away from our usual setting.

🍺We started our day at Staarup Håndbryg, a local microbrewery just outside Skive, where we heard the story behind the brewery and its strong connection to the local community.

🌽From there, we continued to Øhaven on Lundø – a small café and country kitchen with a strong focus on seasonal and locally sourced produce.

Not only did we have a great day altogether - with both stops rooted locally, the day reflected something that really matters to us at SIC: supporting all relationships around us 🙏
