Deep underground with Danilift! ⛏️🔦

Earlier this year, a duo of Danilift service technicians visited our customer to carry out inspections and maintenance on the Danilift access platforms operating deep underground.

What you see here is our P170V cable lift, mounted on a specially adapted MAN chassis from our partner , making its way through the mine. You’ll also catch a glimpse of a P110V mounted on a Dodge Ram supplied by , with our technician Morten busy carrying out service work 🔧

Once these vehicles have made their way down into the mine, bringing them back to the surface isn’t exactly a simple task. So instead, our technicians head underground to keep the equipment in working condition.

And what an extraordinary place it is!

Sometimes, it’s the smallest movements that make the biggest difference 🎯

Getting into the perfect working position isn’t always easy, especially when the vehicle can’t be parked exactly where you’d like it.

That’s where cage rotation comes in!

With up to 80° rotation in each direction, the cage can rotate at the end of the cage boom, allowing the operator to move closer to the work area without having to reposition the entire vehicle.

Whether you’re working along a building facade or trying to reach that one tricky spot, cage rotation helps you find a more comfortable working position, improving ergonomics, safety and efficiency.

And notice how smoothly it moves? 👀

Every movement on a Danilift is designed to be smooth and controlled, without sudden jerks, giving the operator a comfortable and confident experience when working at height.

A week of welding, machinery and heights - not bad for 8th grade! 🔧😄

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Jonas, an 8th-grade student, to Danilift for a week of work experience, and we made sure to keep him busy!

Jonas got hands-on in the workshop and created his very own steel project from scratch. He designed, cut, bent, welded, ground and painted a lamp, which, of course, he got to take home as a souvenir from his week with us 💡💪

He also joined our service team to see what goes into working on larger access platforms. That included quite a trip up in the air - good thing Jonas isn't afraid of heights! 😄

We love welcoming curious young people who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty and try something new. Hopefully, a week like this can spark an interest in engineering, manufacturing and skilled trades.

Who knows... maybe we've just met a future Danilift colleague? 👋

Built for the terrain ⛰️💪

When a customer needs to take their access platform off-road, and sometimes even onto seriously steep terrain, a standard solution doesn’t always cut it.

This Danilift PD270VH is equipped with a hydraulic rear underrun protection system from VBG, replacing our traditional rear platform.

When driving on steep slopes or uneven terrain, the standard rear platform could limit the vehicle’s ground clearance. With this solution, the driver can hydraulically retract the underrun protection directly from the cab, creating the extra clearance needed to tackle challenging terrain.

To complete the setup, we’ve added a custom-made raised rear platform with a foldable ladder. Simply fold it down when entering the cage and back up when it’s time to hit the road again.

A small adjustment? Not quite. A practical solution built around where the customer actually needs to go ⚙️

Say hello to Danilift's new COO! 🚀

We are pleased to welcome Thorsten Otte, who joined Danilift as our new Chief Operating Officer (COO) on September 1.

Thorsten brings extensive experience from Grundfos, where he most recently served as R&D Director with responsibilities within production and technology development. His strong technical background and experience in innovation, development and leadership will be a valuable addition as we continue to develop and grow Danilift.

“I look forward to making a difference in Danilift’s continued development. To me, good leadership is about creating results through people, strong relationships and a shared focus on developing the business. There are plenty of exciting tasks and opportunities ahead, and I’m looking forward to getting started,” says Thorsten.

Thorsten joins Danilift at an exciting time, following our recent partnership with SMH Holding. As COO, he will play a key role in developing our production and strengthening the business for the future.
