Set quietly within the landscape, this A-frame summer house stands as a distinct architectural figure with its sharp silhouette and dark timber character.

Built in the 1960s, it has long been a secluded retreat close to the coast.

The upcoming transformation will refine the interior organisation, strengthen the connection to the surrounding landscape, and introduce carefully integrated new openings and upgrades.

For Axel Rubow’s villa we designed a bespoke kitchen that forms part of the new open spatial sequence.

The kitchen is carefully integrated into the architecture, respecting the proportions, colors, and atmosphere of the house. Introducing a calm and contemporary kitchen crafted specifically for the house.

Axel Rubows villa is characterized by its distinctive yellow and red stripes, creating a characteristic look. The brickwork features a cross-bond pattern with a color change every third brick course.

We have designed the villa’s new dining room with the same facade, and at the same time opened the house up towards the garden.

We are reviving a classic holiday home by the Danish coast.

The house dates back to the 1960s and has long served as a peaceful hideaway by the water.
