This year we are part of the German Pavilion and are looking forward to SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics in San Francisco. Meet us at booth 4205-27 from January 30th to February 1st.

We just finished the early technology project "Novel Materials for Low Loss Semiconductor Supermirrors in the Visible Spectral Range" supported by the ESA - European Space Agency as part of the DISCOVERY program. Thank you ESA for giving us the opportunity to carry out this exciting work over a project duration of 18 months and many thanks to Eamonn Murphy for his great support.

During this time we developed several generations of crystalline mirrors for the red spectral range, targeting applications in Sr-based optical atomic clocks, using various novel semiconductor material combinations. It was a great challenge and we are very pleased with the results and the many interesting findings during the project.

A special thank you goes to Garrett Cole and his team at Thorlabs Crystalline Solutions for their excellent collaboration on the substrate transfer process!

With our product MEXL Gain Crystals, we won the Innovation Award in the category Laser & Optoelectronics at the LASER World of PHOTONICS in Munich. We were very happy about the award and would like to thank the jury as well as Laser World of Photonics and Europa Science for the great evening event. Many thanks also to all the visitors who came by our booth. We had great conversations and interesting meetings, and we look forward to seeing you again in 2025. We also congratulate the other winners of the Innovation Award category!
