Born Ready – 9 (8 obl.), 115 m (no bolts)

On May 23 and 25, and established Born Ready on the Hintere Geierwand. The line had been on Simon’s mind for quite some time and follows an aesthetic pillar in a unique alpine setting.

“The silence, the panorama, and this aesthetic pillar make this place so special,” says Simon.

The 115-metre route offers technical, overhanging climbing on edges, pockets, and cracks. On May 27, Simon redpointed the route, belayed by Mario Kaeppeli.

The route is completely bolt-free. Fourteen pitons and three Peckers used during the first ascent were left in place. Repeat ascents require two full sets of Totem cams. Congratulations on this impressive new route!
